I.C.A.R.E. MATCH DAY PROJECT- OCT 12, 2021

I.C.A.R.E. That You Read….



The I.C.A.R.E. That YOU Read Project will enhance & encourage reading skills of Pre-K through 5th grades in local elementary schools. Each month doing the school year, a student in each grade level Pre-K through 5th grade, will be awarded an age-appropriate book from our organization. Students receiving a book, will be honored by having the book presented at the school in a group setting. Each book will have an “I.C.A.R.E. That YOU Read Sticker” inside the front of the book and have an I.C.A.R.E. Bookmark. The first distribution of books will began October.

 As a community Project- Collected & distributed hats, socks gloves, and underwear for students in need in the USD #475 School District  

Just a few of tons of Pen Pal Letters connecting generations throughout the school year with older adults, elementary, and middle school students.

In 2012 & 2013 during two cases studies, I.C.A.R.E. was recognized with the “Friends Of Education” Award by the USD 475 Board of Education, and the Kansas Public Education-Friends of Education, for their work with youth in schools and with older adults.
